Adhesive Capsulitis at the Time of Menopause: Approach to Treatment with Chinese Medicine

This articles presents a clinical approach to the treatment of adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) at the time of menopause. It explores the physiology of menopause and the pathophysiology of adhesive capsulitis from both the biomedical and Chinese medical perspectives and provides guidelines for treatment based on a literature review and the author’s clinical experience. Two case studies are included to illustrate the theory.
