Anxiety is the most common mental-emotional condition in the USA and Europe. Both acupuncture and herbal medicine are excellent treatments for anxiety. The course will discuss the aetiology, pathology and treatment of anxiety in depth. The treatments suggested for each pattern will include both acupuncture and herbs. The pathology of each pattern (for both anxiety and insomnia) is illustrated by tongue pictures.
Insomnia is also discussed with anxiety as they share many common traits in the pathology and treatment. In addition, the part on insomnia will also discuss a specific acupuncture treatment for insomnia based on the Yang and Yin Qiao Mai.
